About Ivelina Martinova
Ivelina Martinova is a Bulgarian graphic designer from Plovdiv with degrees in Visual Arts and Brand Management. She spent a decade specializing in brand identity, logo, and book design at advertising agencies. After her first maternity leave, she discovered a passion for typography, attending workshops with renowned designers like Martin Majoor and Jean François Porchez. In 2019, she joined Fontfabric, contributing to projects like Salina, Chopin, Plush, and Gonzaga. Ivelina blends technical skill with creativity, constantly experimenting to craft unique typefaces.

Behind the Scenes of Nexa Round

In creating Nexa Round, Ivelina aimed to naturally extend our bestseller Nexa. Inspired by its character, she introduced rounded stems—adding softness while preserving the essence of the original. Extensive research and testing of curves led to the extra style, UltraBlack Glow, bringing a fresh note to the family. Ivelina particularly loves the new Nexa Glow styles and the specially developed ligatures, which she considers the most impressive features of the font.
